There was only a small team of us out today at the far end of Chepstow, in Thornwell, near to the Old Severn Bridge… Catherine Fookes , Labour Party candidate for Monmouthshire, joined us and was active alongside us doing #labourdoorstep – There was, as ever, a warm response from the public here. It seems as though Chepstow Labour are very strong in this area.
I found myself washing the ice cream down with a nice pint of lager afterwards while I was waiting for the bus home to Caldicot, when I popped into the White Lion, a trust old pub in central Chepstow. I used to do lots of DJing here back in the day and had many a night out clubbing here too.
