Today a small crew of us went up to the village of Shirenewton here in Monmouthshire, to do #LabourDoorstep , campaignign for Catherine Fookes as Labour Party MP for Monmouthshire in the forthcoming general election. Iwas joined by Cllr Tony Easson and Labour Party co-ordinator, Ryan Smith. Shirenewton is a quanint little rural village set on high so there were lots of hills, but the cracking views up here sure made up for the energy expended. This is quite an affluent area yet the people seemed thrilled to be visited by us and were positive about Catherine. The weather was abit cloudy and grim as you can see from the greay sies in the photos.
