Today, we went out locally for Severnside branch of the Labour Party Jessica Morden MP from Newport East is still the Parliamentary political representative for us here prior to the boundary changes at the general election when Caldicot and Severnside area will become part of Monmouthshire contituency where Catherine Fookes is the Labour Party candidate for MP.
In the photo there were a lot of us from the local branch out en force. I’m on the left, with Cllr Jackie Strong, Jessica Morden MP, Cllr Frances John Crook, Cllr Peter Strong (representing Rogiet), Severnside Labour Party Chairman: Henry Higgins, Cllr Jill Bond and Andrew Betteridge (from John Griffiths MS Newport office)

It was a busy day out and the public were as ever, supportive and gave us a good reception. It was the most people in a #labourdoorstep group that I have been out with yet. A strong team bond and excellent, passionate campaigning effort. The feelgood factor is certainly there ahead of the all important general election. Let’s do this! #votelabour
