Newport East Labour Party GC

Caldicot is currently part of the Newport East constituency for Parliamentary elections. Therefore, our current MP is Jessica Morden. At the next general elections Caldicot and Magor and the Severnside area will be changing due to a constituency boundary change and w will become part of Monmouthsire where Catherine Fookes is the Labour Party candidate for the election.

This photo is from the Newport East Labour GC meeting held at Ringland Labour Club. It is a monthly meeting for all different branches that make up the constituency, of which Severnside is one. This was one of the last branch meetings that we can attend as we are moving constituencies.

All different things are discussed at a GC meeting. Local issues are covewred plus the MP, Jessicas and MS, John Griffiths, report back to us on their activities. This is democracy in action.

I found the meeting to be very interesting and enlightening and met som fantastic friendly likeminded people, plus Jessica Morden kindly bought me a pint of Guinness afterwards ;) ….. I owe her loads of drinks by now lol…. The best MP ever!!!! xxx
