I attended a Labour Party fundraiser event for Catherine Fookes at the Priory in Monmouth. This was to raise money for her campiagn to become MP for Monmouthshire at the next General Election. There were some political heavyweights at the fundraiser, including Welsh First Minister, Mark Drakeford MS, who as well as being leader of the nation is also head of Welsh Labour. I got some videos of teh speeches and some good photos. Unfortunately I struggled at this event myself as a broken femur injury had flared up and I was hobbling around all evening in intense pain on my walking stick as you can see from some of the photos.

To finish off the funddraiser event, a local band called Skylark, played some nice chilled, laidback, lounge sounds live and they were a quality example of the great music we have here in Monmouthshire.
