Christmas Lights Turn On in Caldicot 2023

Labour Party candidate, Catherine Fookes, with Jessica Morden MP, Cllr Tony Easson and Mayor of Caldicot, Maxine.

Tonight there was a gathering of local political dignitaries and Labour party members here in Caldicot for the Turning on of the Christmas Lights. It was a fun event and the people got to hear from their political representatives who care very much for this town wand the community.

The gathering of dignitaries on stage in Caldicot Town Centre.

Jessica Morden MP (Newport East) who is currently the MP for the Caldicot area, before it changes over to Monmouthshire due to the boundary change.

Our Labour Party Sennedd Member, John Griffiths MS, Newport East, who represents Caldicot in the Welsh Assembly. I do quite a lot of political business with John as Health is devolved in Wales and he has to deal with all my End Of Terror mental health political campaign on the whole.

Frank Rowberry givng s speech. Frank is an important local member of the Severnside Labour branch and is also the father of my good friend, Neil Rowberry. Frank is a charismatic man and when I chat to him he seems to make a lot of sense. He is someone I look up to in local politics.

The event was well-supported by the local community and I think that the local politicians helped to make inroads with the people and this helps in the buildup to an important general election year ahead.
