Today we were out doing #LabourDoorstep in Undy, Monmouthshire. It’s not far from Caldicot so not far o tarvel for me. Catherine Fookes, who is the candidate for MP, was out with us and we were jooined by a friend I made in Parliament itself when I last visited: Thangam Debbonaire, who is the Labour MP for Bristol West. Local councillors for Magor and Undy, Frances John Crook and Angela Sandles were part of our team, on their home turf and also Tony Easson and Henry Higgins (Chair, Severnside) were the Caldicot political representatives in attendance. There were a few hills to tackle in Undy but apart from that the people there were great and warm to us. Thangam is the shadow secreatry for Culture and I had a good bit of banter with her about Bristol Rovers but also tried to get through some of my political points about the music industry that I work in. A former Tory Culture Secretary in cabinet was supposed to be assisting me with my issues with Soundcloud after they just threw me off their network unfairly, causing me to lose 110 000 regualr listeners to my Wez G music. I am still not a happy bunny with regard to this. The internet has made working in music difficult in may ways.
