Labour Doorstep, Crick, Monmouthshire

I hadn’t been out doing #labourdoorstep for the Labour Party, in the bid to get Catherine Fookes elected as MP for Monmouthshire, for some time. The election is starting to loom so it’s all about working as hard as possible now and driving forward until the finish line. Today we were out in Crick. New worker, Ryan, who is helping to co-ordinate Catherine’s campaign was out with us. Cllr Tony Easson gave me a lift up to Crick, which is a small village , not far from Caldicot. Trusty John from Caerphilly was out and a nice lady from Caerwent.

Crick is remote country hamlet and a relatively wealthy and prosperous area. I thought maybe, we wouldn’t be received so warmly here but on a little housing estate with HUGE mansions, where a nice Porsche was parked in the drive, I managed to speak directly to a surgeon who worked for the NHS and he was so pleased to have a visit from Labour representatives and said he was totally committed to change in government and that Labour were needed in power to fix all the problems in the. NHS for one. It was cold and we had to trek a fair distance today. Worth it though if the votes come in!
