It’s a well-loved record of mine and sits right near to my DJ set box at all times, always welcomed in the deep darkest moments of the night, by any thronging dancefloor…. I love the Bladerunner film and the whole futuristic post-modern Los Angeles overtones that have been quite prophetic since its release back in the early 1980s. at University College London (UCL) when I initially was doing a Geography (BSc) degree back in 1996, we were given a special screening of the original film, as part of our course, at the Southbank centre by the River Thames. I can remember having fun writing about this in an early exam….

Since I br0oke my femur a few years back and now live with a large metal rod inside my leg, I do relate a lot more to Bladerunner and genuinely believe that I am now a replicant, or at least a cyborg in any case. Like the infamous Goldie Looking Chain prophesized: ‘Half Man, Half Machine’.
