Today, a small team, including Cllr Tony Easson and co-ordinator Ryan Smith, campaigned for Labour candidate Catherine Fookes in Portskewett, Monmouthshire. The team received a warm welcome from residents, indicating strong potential support for Fookes in the upcoming election. Enthusiasm suggests a good outcome for Labour in the area.
After working with Chepstow Labour, I joined Severnside Labour in Portskewett to campaign for Catherine Fookes’ election as MP, covering Monmouthshire. With fellow councillors, we engaged with locals, discovering significant Labour support despite a Conservative councillor. I capped the day with a pint at The Portskewett Inn, supporting local business.
