My good old mate, Dominic, invited me down to London for yet another Echo Boat Party. This one celebrating the 24th birthday of Echo. I was actually one of the original four founding business partners of Echo. We started off running monthly nights in an Italian nightclub called Ormonds in Jermyn Street, Mayfair, a stone’s throw from Piccadilly Circus and the West End. Although I left due to my ‘commitments’ here in South Wales, I’ve stayed in touch with my good mate, Dom and it was great to catch up here on the River Thames for a wild, hedonistic and very sunny summer’s evening of fun and frolics and house music. Announcing the Echo Halloween boat party is always an exciting time for me. It’s become our signature event, often selling out many weeks in advance, and it’s invigorating to see how everyone always looks forward to it with such enthusiasm. I promise that the 2023 edition is going to raise the bar, once again.
We welcome 3 DJs making their Echo debuts – one of whom will close the Trance Rules room with what is sure to be a thoroughly exhilarating set – while 3 more talented DJs are returning for just their second ever Echo performances. We have the return of an Echo stalwart from years past with his sensational new sound in the House Rules room, and a well known DJ from the London Trance scene should be confirmed in the near future to complete our line-up. Finally, 5 Echo residents are also on the bill – 2 of whom have electrifying, not run-of-the-mill, classic sets planned – all of them booked because they absolutely rock it. Every. Single. Time.
