The latest run of Wez G releases travels from the streets and landscapes of Caldicot to deeply personal reflections on mental health—and then straight back onto the dancefloor.
Released on 28 August 2026, “Sleepy Village Sounds of Caldicot” celebrates the Welsh town that Wez G calls home and where The Shufflelow studio is based. Drawing inspiration from local places such as Caldicot Castle and the nearby River Severn, the release turns familiar surroundings into music filled with character, memory and a strong sense of place.
Arriving on the same date, “Not Your Diagnosis” is one of Wez G’s most personal and purposeful releases. The track draws upon his experiences with mental health services and challenges the idea that a person can be reduced to a label or a set of symptoms. Its lyrics call for dignity, informed consent, honest conversations and a genuine voice in decisions about treatment.

The August releases follow two laid-back tracks shaped by nature, freedom and escape.
“Fly Like a Bird” offers a serene chillout atmosphere accompanied by Wez G’s vocals. Its imagery of trees, flowers and bees creates a bright natural setting, while the idea of taking flight gives the song an uplifting sense of possibility.
“Distant Shores Are Far Away” continues the summery mood with a downtempo beach sound and vocals from Nicola. Waves, trees and faraway coastlines form the backdrop to a track about tranquillity and being carried beyond the pressures of everyday life.

Earlier in the summer, Wez G released a trio of energetic tracks exploring different corners of dance music.

Before that came “Windy City Acid”, a tribute to the sound and spirit of Chicago house. Driven by acid-house energy and a vibrant female vocal, it captures the feeling of losing yourself beneath the lights of a busy nightclub. The song invites its audience to let go, connect and follow the music.
“I Want the World to Know” brings classic piano-house influences to the foreground. Layered female vocal samples, bright keys and lyrics about recognition, rhythm and emotional connection give the track the feel of a celebratory house anthem.
This recent music joins releases including “Severn Tides,” “Lifting Me Higher,” “Hit the Block” and “Flotilla Song,” featuring Nabila.
